PostSubject: The reason of LOSS TIMING   Sat Apr 26, 2008 12:52 am

there are cards taht loss timing when u activate but many players dun noe and dun understand...

example: dimension magic special summon MOBC from hand, MOBC is summoned, trigger u can onli choose 1 effect from dimension magic and MOBC targeting magic from hand as they are of same timing so u can onli choose 1... but many players still activates both effect as chain 1 and 2... ...

example 2: u sac summon an emperor and send psycho returner to the graveyard, if emperor's effect is activated , u cant revive JINZO from grave... Still there are players hu do so...

then there is players hu ask me y sangan can search from deck even if u sac summon an emperor and use its effect... 'isnt it loss timing tooooooooooo' LOL

SIgh, guess I better post here

Example 1. As MOBC's effect is an optional effect, as with all optional effects, the activation of the effect must be the last thing to happen. In this case, MOBC's summon has to be the last thing that happens for the magic to be taken back.

However, in dimension magic's text, the text reads as, summon 1 magician class from hand, THEN destroy 1 monster on the field. If the text was the opposite way round, then there would be no problem, MOBC will be able to take the magic back.

Example 2. As with the case with the above example, the activation of the effect has to be the last thing, which in this case, is Jinzo returner's entering grave. However, when you sacrifice the returner for a high level, the last thing to happen is not the returner entering grave, but the monster to be summoned out on the field.

Therefore..... Who cares about monarchs, you sac for any high level, monster gate, enemy controller, etc all also no use. Returner's entering grave is NOT the last thing to happen.... Here are 2 cards which you should check up and find the difference.

When using dark world lightning and discarding returner for the effect, you CAN summon jinzo back.

When using lightning vortex and discarding returner, you CANNOT summon jinzo back.

The reason? Go compare the card text

And finally, for sangan, it is a COMPULSORY effect. You HAVE to search. Therefore, not possible to miss timing as it HAS to be searched. Again, 2 examples for you to think of.

Example 1. Opponent use heavy storm on me, I chain cry of living dead (No stupid comments on card is banned) to call out disc guy. I CAN draw 2 cards.

Example 2. Opponent use heavy storm on me, I chain cry of living dead and call out MOBC. I CANNOT take back the magic card.

As before, Im not here to spoonfeed you. Not sure go check the differences in text.
