What happens when royal decree is on the field n I activate fairy wind? Will my fairy wind be negated or will it activate normally, destroying royal decree?

For those who nt sure of the effect of these cards, i put it below...
Fairy Wind
Destroy all other face-up Spell and Traps on the field. Both players take damage equal to the total number of cards destroyed by this effect x 300.

Royal Decree
Negate the effects of all other Trap Cards on the field.

fairy wind gets negated

if you royal decree activated then you chain fairy wind then royal decree will be destroyed and both player take damage.

if royal decree on field face up very long already then you activate fairy wind then fairy wind will be negated.
