PostSubject: Skill Drain VS Gemini Monsters?   Sun Jun 21, 2009 2:25 am

How?

Skill drain on field == gemini monster auto become effect monsters??

Quoted from Wiki:

Quote :
Debris Dragon: If "Debris Dragon" Special Summons a Gemini Monster, the Gemini Monster's effect that makes it a Normal Monster is negated, so the Gemini Monster is considered an Effect Monster.

Quote :
* Versus "Skill Drain":[21]
o Normal Gemini Monsters have their effects negated, and are treated as Effect Monsters. They do not gain their effects that are gained when Gemini Summoned. You cannot Gemini Summon such a monster.
o Effect Gemini Monsters have their effects negated. When "Skill Drain" is removed, the Gemini Monster is still treated as an Effect Monster and regains its effect.

Or what does it actually means??

Lol, it just means when you negate the effect of a Gemini monster, you cannot use cards like Dust Barrier and Justi-Break with it. And it will be affected by things like Curse of Anubis.

budden, wouldnt debris dragon negate the whole chapter on the gemini monsters(including the special effect) effect rather than only the part on "treated as normal monster unless normal summoned on the field"?

so if its like that. i think skill drain shouldnt result in gemini monsters having effects instead. unless i missed something about negating only 1 effect of the monster.

It basically means, it loses its effect and it will be considered as "brown skin" monster with a blank text.
